Amnis Pura is a company with a strong R&D component dedicated to gas purification technologies.
The high level of experience on the development and commercialization of hydrogen purification solutions and the trust of customers have enabled Amnis Pura to have units operating in 10 countries and 4 continents.
With the growing hydrogen market, Amnis Pura is focused on hydrogen purification derived from decentralised production processes such as ammonia cracking, methane reforming, waste and biomass gasification. Depending on their nature, these processes can be carried out under various operating conditions. They have different gas compositions that can vary over time during the production process. In this regard, Amnis Pura develops tailor-made solutions that are optimised specifically for the customer’s process, to meet the requirements of the strict ISO 14687-2.
As part of GAMMA Project, Amnis Pura is tasked with designing, developing, and producing two Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) units. These units will purify gas mixtures from a methanol reformer and an NH3 (ammonia) cracker. When integrating the NH3 cracker process with a PSA unit, trace air from ammonia and nitrogen present in the feed stream are retained in the PSA beds to produce high-purity hydrogen. For the methanol reforming process, the PSA units will retain contaminants such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and some methane, ensuring the production of high-quality hydrogen.
